Terrorists have carried out the 10th blast in Punjab within 2 months. This time a hand grenade has been thrown at a liquor contractor’s house close to former Deputy CM and Congress MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa.
This is the first time that the Khalistani terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) has targeted a person. Before this, 9 attacks took place on police posts and police stations.
CCTV footage of this attack on the house of liquor contractor Amandeep Jaintipuria in Jaintipur, Majitha, Amritsar has also surfaced. In the video, a young man got down from a motorcycle at around 8 pm on Wednesday night and threw something like a hand grenade towards Amandeep's house. Sparks were also clearly seen in the CCTV.
Earlier, terrorists had carried out a grenade attack on Gumtala police post in Amritsar. The police did not consider it a terrorist attack but also has tightened the security. Large iron frames and tin sheets have been installed on the Gumtala Chowk flyover.
Police XUVs have also been deployed on the bridge as well. Terrorist organization BKI has claimed responsibility for this blast.
Within minutes of the blast at the liquor contractor's house, a post was made viral on social media by Babbar Khalsa International. The post read, “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh... Today I take responsibility for the grenade attack on the house of liquor contractor Pappu Jaintipur in Jaintipur.”
“Previously, we had called him and told him that liquor ban has to be implemented in Punjab and it has to be started from Majha, he took our words lightly and ignored it but now we will explain it in our own way,” it further read.
“Many contracts were opened by these contractors near Guru Ghar and schools. Other people are working under them, think about it. We had told them verbally earlier but they did not take action,” he added.
