Kejriwal and the state's chief minister nominee Bhagwant Mann on Sunday paid obeisance at the Golden Temple here, after which they would take out a roadshow here to express their gratitude to the people for making the party a landslide victory.

Roadshow in Amritsar's Golden Temple

Earlier, Mann welcomed Kejriwal, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia at the airport. Party leader Raghav Chadha was also present during this. Kejriwal and Mann will also offer prayers at Durgiana Temple and Shri Ram Tirath Temple. 

After this, he will take out a roadshow here to express his gratitude to the people for winning the party with huge votes.

Significantly, Bhagwant Mann will take oath as the Chief Minister of Punjab on March 16 at Khatkar Kalan, the native village of great freedom fighter Bhagat Singh in Nawanshahr district. The Aam Aadmi Party has won 92 seats in the 117-member assembly.

Former CM Amarinder Singh lost

Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has lost this time. Amarinder, who was fielded from the Patiala assembly seat, was defeated by Ajit Pal Singh Kohli of the Aam Aadmi Party. At the same time, BJP state president Ashwini Sharma has won. He was the candidate from the Pathankot seat. 

He got 39782 votes. Congress's Amit Vij (32363) was at number two. Here Vibhuti Sharma from Aam Aadmi Party and Jyoti Pal from Shiromani Akali Dal were competing.
