The passengers of Delhi bound 22488 DN Vande Bharat Express were left panicking when the train was pelted with stones by unknown individuals. The stones struck the window of the C-3 coach, badly damaging two windowpanes.
Poonam Kalra and Dolly Thukral, residents of Gurugram travelling in the coach, recounted that they heard a loud noise near their seats soon after the train departed from Phagwara around 9.50 am towards Delhi. As per reports, the incident occurred between the Phagwara and Goraya railway station on Wednesday.
Initially, there was panic inside the coach as no one could understand what was happening or what the source of the loud noise was. However, upon further investigation, it was revealed that some unknown miscreants were throwing stones at the coach from the outside. No injuries are currently being reported.
