In a horrific development, an Amritsar man identified as Amritpal Singh, turned himself in to the police after brutally murdering his sister-in-law, mother & 2-year-old nephew with a sharp weapon. As per reports, the accused’s brother currently resides in Dubai, and his own family, a wife and 2 kids were staying at her parents’ house.
The incident occurred at the Kandowali Village in Ajnala, Amritsar. The deceased have been identified as Manbir Kaur (mother), Avneet Kaur (sister-in-law) and Samarth (nephew).
Giving information to the media, the police informed that the motive of the murder has not been ascertained yet. The accused reportedly had good relations with his family and led a peaceful life in his home. The police suspects that the accused could be facing mental problems spending time away from his wife.
The accused surrendered at the local police station after commiting the murders and is now in police custody. The police are actively investigating the case as the motive behind the murder remains a mystery.
