People were still to get over the Minar-e-Pakistan harassment incident when another video showing a man sexually harassing a woman in Pakistan went viral on social media. In the recent viral video, two women are seen riding in an open rickshaw with a toddler when a man leaps onto the vehicle's footboard and kisses a woman on the cheek.
The fact that the incident occurred on a busy road is horrifying itself. Netizens suspect the location of the incident to be Lahore.
The video shows women to be visibly disturbed as a couple of bikers hounds the rickshaw, catcall and leers at them. Out of nowhere, a man rushes aboard the rickshaw and forcibly "kisses" the woman. She and the woman next to her scream in disbelief, but no one intervenes.
Then, one of the women in the video pulls her slipper and threatens to beat the man with it. At one point, the harried woman becomes highly agitated and attempts to abandon the rickshaw in despair, but is stopped by her companion.
The incident is suspected to have occurred during Independence Day celebrations as cars and motorcycles surrounding the rickshaw had a national flag.The video has sparked outrage on social media with many individuals demanding that the government take strong action against sexual harassers.
Earlier, a video had gone viral on social media showing Pakistani Tiktoker being harassed by a group of men on August 14. The TikToker filed an FIR in this case claiming that individuals tore her clothes and kept throwing her into the air during the video shoot while she and her companions attempted to escape the mob.
She further claimed that her ring and earrings were "forcibly removed" by unidentified persons in the crowd, as well as one of her companion's phone and identity card, as well as an amount of around 15,000 PKR were snatched.
