India's Information and Broadcasting Minister, Anurag Thakur, recently addressed the media in Jalandhar city, Punjab, and criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government for failing to govern the state effectively. Thakur claimed that the law and order situation in Punjab had completely broken down, and killings were taking place in public. He alleged that the drug trade was flourishing in the state, and the youth of Punjab were falling prey to addiction, leading to many tragic deaths.
Thakur also accused the Aam Aadmi Party MLAs in Punjab of engaging in various unlawful activities, including extortion and betting. He claimed that shameful videos of Punjab ministers were coming out, and that the state was rapidly becoming like Bihar, with singers and businessmen being murdered in jails.
Thakur also targeted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, claiming that he had built 12 expensive toilets in his bungalow worth 45 crores while failing to provide basic sanitation facilities to the people of Delhi. He accused Kejriwal of allowing mafia and corruption to flourish in the national capital.
Thakur also criticized Bhagwant Mann, an Aam Aadmi Party leader, accusing him of not doing any honorable work and only engaging in dishonorable activities. He further targeted the Congress party, alleging that corruption and mafia were flourishing in Punjab, which the Congress had failed to tackle in its five years of governance.
