Musician AR Rahman has released a special concert of his most awaited project ’99 Songs’. The concert was a digital show chronicling the music of the upcoming musical film 99 Songs. It was streamed in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on JioSaavn’s LIVE Anywhere platform.
The ‘99 Songs’ special concert also presented the film’s actors Ehan Bhat and Director Vishwesh Krishnamurthy. In the concert Rahman united with the singers of the film’s soundtrack, featuring Benny Dayal, Shashwat Singh, Shshaa Tirupati, Vijya Yesudas, Sreekanth Hariharan, Poorvi Koutish, Haricharan, and the SunshineOrchestra. AR Rahman combined music with the art of storytelling, creating a mesmerizing environment and took viewers on a journey through the soundtrack of 99 songs.
AR Rahman revealed that he was planning to visit cities and colleges to perform the live concert, but seeing the present situation it was not possible. He said, “My initial idea was that I should go to every city, every college and perform, for you, the songs of this movie. But given the times, the least we can do is present a show with the incredible singers and musicians who are part of the soundtrack.”

‘99 Songs’ is a musical romance film featuring Ehan Bhat, Edilsi Varghese, Tibbsi, and Tenzin Dalha in important roles. The story of the film revolves around a man struggling between the old world and the new world. The film marks Rahman’s debut as a screenwriter and producer and is released on April 16.
AR Rahman shared the poster of the film on Twitter and said, “Very happy to share this, 99 Songs will be released on April 16, 2021, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu”
