Gautam Adani, Gautam Adani Arrest, Gautam Adani US Bribery Case, Rahul Gandhi Reaction Gautam Adani Bribery Case: Congress leader & Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi on Thursday launched a scathing attack on the Modi Government after the US indicted Gautam Adani and others in a bribery case. United States Attorney's Office Eastern District of New York on Thursday issued a press release announcing that it is charging Gautam Adani and seven other executives in a bribery case worth $250 million. The United States accused Adani and others of bribing Indian Government officials to secure solar contracts and get investments from the US.
Adani Group which someone managed to bounce back after Hindenburg's allegations, has been dealing this major blow. The accusations against the Adani group are serious as it links him with Indian Government officials. As a result, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in his press conference accused PM Modi of protecting Gautam Adani.
Not only this, but Rahul Gandhi also demanded the immediate arrest of Gautam Adani and his interrogation by central investigative agencies. Below is what Rahul Gandhi said during the press conference-
'Arrest Gautam Adani'
During the PC, Rahul Gandhi said, "It is now pretty clear and established in America that Mr Adani has broken both Indian law and American laws. He has been indicted in the US. I am wondering why Mr Adani is running around a free man in this country. CMs have been arrested...Adani has done apparently one Rs 2000 Crore scam and multiple others probably but he is running scot-free...We have been raising this again and again...It is a vindication of what we have been saying, the PM is protecting Mr Adani and the PM is involved in corruption with Mr Adani.."
On being asked if he would raise the Adani issue in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi said, "We are raising this issue. It is my responsibility as LoP, to raise this issue. PM Modi is 100% protecting this man. This man has acquired India's assets through corruption. He provides support to the BJP, it is established. We will repeat this. JPC is our demand but we want that Adani be arrested. But we know that he won't be arrested because the PM of India backs Adani, he is his protector.."

Rahul Gandhi further said, "JPC is important, it should be done but now the question is why is Adani not in jail?...American agency has said that he has committed crime in India, he has offered bribes, sold power at inflated prices. PM is not doing anything, he can't do anything. Even if he wants to do something, he can't because he is under the control of Adani...Note it down, he has done a scam of Rs 2000 Crores. But I guarantee you, this man will neither be arrested nor face an investigation because PM is linked to him."
