Aryan Khan drug case has already taken many twists, and now the son of megastar Shah Rukh Khan has accused Narcotics Control Bureau of wrongly charging him in the cruise drug case. In his bail plea, Aryan Khan claimed that NCB has been "misinterpreting" his WhatsApp chats to implicate him.

Aryan Khan, who is currently imprisoned, filed a petition with the HC on Wednesday after a special court denied his bail application. On October 26, the HC will hear his bail plea.

Aryan Khan said the Narcotics Control Bureau's (NCB) "interpretation and misinterpretation" of the WhatsApp messages collected from his mobile phone was "wrong and unjustified" in his high court against the special court order.

The 23-year-old claimed that no drugs were found on him when the NCB raided the ship and that he had no links to any of the other accused in the case other than Arbaaz Merchant and Aachit Kumar.

So far, 20 individuals have been arrested in connection with the case by the anti-drugs agency.

The NCB is relying on WhatsApp chats that are "ex-facie of a period prior to the incident," according to the appeal.

“By no stretch of imagination can those purported messages be linked to any conspiracy for which the secret information was received," the plea states.

Aryan Khan further questioned the special court's claim that because he is an "influential person", if he is released from custody, he may tamper with evidence in the case.

"There is no legal presumption that just because a person is influential, he is likely to tamper with the evidence," the appeal stated.

The NCB detained Aryan Khan, his friend Arbaaz Merchant (26) and fashion model Munmun Dhamecha (28) on October 3. The three are currently being held in judicial custody.

Dhamecha is being held at the Byculla women's prison, while Aryan Khan and Merchant are imprisoned at the Arthur Road prison in central Mumbai.
