Pakistan Cricket Team captain Babar Azam on Wednesday lost his number 1 spot in the ICC ODI Batting Ranking. Babar Azam's number 1 ICC ODI ranking was lost after Pakistan's dismal performance at the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023. Babar Azam has totaled 282 runs from eight knocks at the World Cup 2023. As a result, Babar lost six rating points and now sits at number 2. Now, the question arises who is the number one ODI batter in the ICC elite list?

 

The answer is Shubman Gill. With a rating of 830, Shubman Gill on Wednesday became the number 1 ODI batter of the world. Before this, Gill was sitting at the number 2 spot. Shubman scored 92 against Sri Lanka and 23 against South Africa over the last week, and amassed a total of 219 runs from six innings at the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023. 

 

Apart from Gill, Virat Kohli who is the second-highest run-getter (while writing) in the Cricket World Cup 2023 is at number 4 with a rating of 770. Team India skipper Rohit Sharma sits at number 6 in the latest ICC ranking. Rohit Sharma has a total of 739 ratings.
