On December 18, Wednesday, Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann, AAP Punjab President and Cabinet Minister Aman Arora and AAP Punjab Working President Sherry Kalsi started the election campaign of the Municipal Corporation by leading roadshows at Amritsar, Jalandhar and Phagwara.
The roadshow began at 11:30pm at Hall Gate Chownk in Amritsar, at 01:30pm at Shri Ram Chownk in Jalandhar and the roadshow began at 03:30pm at Hargobind Nagar, Central Town Road in Phagwara.
Meanwhile, CM Mann addressed the people and said that in order to make Guru Ki Nagri Sri Amritsar Sahib more beautiful, it is very important that the representatives of AAP win the Municipal Corporation elections.
In the road show, CM said that AAP has come to share in the joys and sorrows of 3.25 crore Punjabis. In just three and a quarter year, the AAP government has provided employment to 50 thousand youth of the state. CM Bhagwant Singh Mann has received a great response from the public during the roadshow.
This was the first roadshow of CM Bhagwant Singh Mann in Jalandhar for the municipal corporation elections. This road show of CM Mann was taken out from Shri Ram Chowk to Bhagwan Shri Valmiki Chowk (Jyoti Chowk). Jalandhar Commissionerate Police had increased the security in the city due to CM Mann's roadshow.
During the roadshow in Jalandhar CM Mann said that the AAP government will fulfil all the promised guarantees. He said that AAP government congratulates all the councillor candidates who are contesting elections from our party in Jalandhar.
Whatever the people of the city say, we will do. This will make our city beautiful. CM Mann said that earlier CMs did not go to the streets, but I do. The two guarantees given at Jalandhar level will be completed as soon as possible, he further added.
Punjab Aam Aadmi Party president Aman Arora said that today there is a Diwali-like atmosphere in Jalandhar. People are supporting Aam Aadmi Party candidates. Earlier, people in Amritsar showed a lot of support and the same enthusiasm is also seen in Jalandhar.
Pradhan Arora said that we are in the interest of farmers. But the central government is not fulfilling the demands of the farmers. At the same time, Punjab government minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian is working on an important scheme for the benefit of farmers. A meeting is also being held with experts for the benefit of farmers.
