The warning covers districts like Barnala, Bathinda, Faridkot, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Moga, Firozpur, Jalandhar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Ludhiana, and Amritsar. Earlier, the department had already predicted rainfall on April 19 and 20, which should help bring temperatures down by 2 to 4 degrees. An orange alert has also been issued for Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, SAS Nagar, Fatehgarh, and Nawanshahr, warning of possible rain and thunderstorms.
