In a bizarre development, former Bigg Boss contestant & actor Ajaz Khan on Saturday lost the Maharashtra Elections 2024 by a massive margin. Ajaz Khan who enjoys a massive social media following and is a well-known celebrity on internet could not even get 200 votes in the Maharashtra Elections 2024.
Ajaz Khan who is a staunch BJP critic contested Maharashtra Elections 2024 from Aazad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) ticket. Ajaz fought Maharashtra Polls from the Versova constituency. As per the Election Commission of India (ECI), from the Versova seat, Ajaz only got 155 votes.
Versova constituency was won by Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) candidate Haroon Khan. Haroon Khan won the seat by a margin of 1600 votes. Haroon defeated the BJP's candidate Dr. Bharati Lavekar.
Interestingly, Ajaz Khan has 5.6 million followers on Instagram, while on Facebook, the former Bigg Boss constant has 4.1 million followers. A few months back Ajaz grabbed the internet spotlight after he confronted Carryminati in a mall in Mumbai. Ajaz confronted Carry after he roasted the former Bigg Boss contestant. In the video, Carry was seen hiding his face by wearing a mask and a cap. Ajaz Khan recognized him. In the video, Ajaz takes off Carry's mask and says, 'This is Carry... Carry roasted me. Now say sorry to my fans.' On this, Carry said 'Sir please'. Then Ajaz said, 'Don't put your hand in every hole, not all have rats, some can have snakes as well.' Then Carry said, 'If you felt bad, I'm sorry.'
Ajaz has also been involved in social media beef with current Bigg Boss contestant Rajat Dalal in the past. Apart from Rajat Dalal, Ajaz has warned YouTubers like Purav Jha and Harsh Beniwal for making his spoof video as well.
