A case of gun violence has come from Gandhwa village in Phagwara, where a youth was shot dead by anonymous attackers on a motorcycle. The victim can be identified as Navjot Kumar, son of Dilbag Raj, a resident of the Gandhwa village.
As per information received, Navjot had gone out of his house for some work when unidentified youths on a motorcycle fired at him, killing him on the spot. The Satnampura police have taken the body into possession and put it in the civil hospital mortuary.
Dr. Ashish Jetli, who was on duty at the civil hospital, said that ASI Manjit Singh of Satnampura police station brought the body from Gandhwa village. The police said that the reason for the death was gunshot injuries. The police are probing the case, and further action is in progress.
