As ten days are left for the hearing of arguments in the Ayodhya land dispute case, a Bharatiya Janata Party MLA has announced that Ram Mandir will be built on the disputed land before November 17.

BJP MLA from Pali, Rajasthan Gyanchand Parakh declared that the Ram Mandir will be built before November 17 - the day Supreme Court will announce its verdict in the matter.

Parakh was invited as a chief guest at a Ramlila event in Pali when he made the declaration.

He said, "The hearing in the case will be completed by October 17 and by November 18 a temple will be built on Ramjanmbhoomi. This year is very auspicious for us."

The BJP MLA's announcement comes two days after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hoped a "very good news" regarding the Ram temple awaited all.

"We are Ram bhakts. There is a lot of strength in 'bhakti'. I feel we will soon get to hear very good news," the chief minister said without elaborating or mentioning Ram temple," CM Adityanath said.

Yogi Adityanath's comments were panned by the opposition, with former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav attacking him, asking how does the CM know what is going to happen in the court.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court Friday said it would wrap up hearing in the politically sensitive Ram Janmbhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute at Ayodhya by October 17, a day sooner than the earlier schedule.

The Muslim side would complete the arguments on October 14, it said, adding that thereafter, two days would be granted to the Hindu parties, to sum up their rejoinders -- October 16.

October 17 would be the last day for wrapping up the hearing when the parties will have to make the final arguments about the relief they are seeking, the court said.

The five-judge bench, also comprising justices SA Bobde, DY Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and SA Nazeer, had earlier fixed the deadline of October 18 to conclude the hearing.

The judgment in the matter is to be pronounced by November 17, the day the CJI will retire.
