In a major breakthrough in the Fauja Singh hit-and-run case, police officials have successfully identified the Fortuner SUV car that was involved in the matter. According to the reports by police, the car that was reportedly involved in the case possessed registration number PB 20 C 7100.
Notably, the police officials gathered the CCTV footage from the nearby region, where Turbaned Tornado’s vehicle met with the accident, and collected the clues to investigate the matter and move forward.
Following the revelation of the car, an FIR has been registered at Adampur Police Station under Sections 281 and 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation into the matter has not been stopped yet, and the officials are still actively conducting the research.
According to the reports, multiple police teams have been deployed to trace the accused. The officials have claimed that the task force teams have been making efforts to arrest the driver involved in the case.
Fauja Singh’s death -
Globally renowned marathon runner Fauja Singh on Monday passed away in a road accident in Jalandhar, Punjab. As per the information received, 114-year-old Fauja Singh was out for his routine evening walk around 4 pm near his residence when a speeding car struck him and fled the scene.
After the car rammed Fauja Singh, he collapsed on the road and was rushed to a private hospital in Jalandhar by family members, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Fauja Singh was a British Sikh of Punjabi-Indian origin who rose to international fame as a record-breaking marathon runner in his senior years. Though many of his age-category feats were never officially recognized by world athletics bodies, he shattered numerous records for centenarians in long-distance running.
