Can deportees go back to the US in the upcoming years?

The answer is yes and no at the same time. As per dienerlaw that mentions North Carolina U Visa VAWA Attorney, once you have been deported, the United States government bars you from returning for five, ten, or 20 years, or even permanently. The average time of ban of the deportees from entering the US is 10 years. The time period of ban may vary depending on the facts and circumstances of the deportation.

The report suggests that the US Government imposes a 5-year ban if you were removed or deported at a US border or port of entry based on a finding that he or she is inadmissible, or If you, without reasonable cause, failed or refused to attend or remain an immigration court proceeding or walked out before it was over. A 10-year ban is imposed if an immigration judge rules against you.

A 20 year ban is imposed if you try to re-enter the US before serving a 10 or 5 year sentence. It can also lead to a permanent ban from entry. Furthermore, if you are charged with a serious crime or felony, you will be banned from entering the US.

What will happen to the bank accounts of deported Indians?

Well, it will remain as it is. As per Moneycontrol which quoted an expert, "..it is unlikely that deportation will fully dissolve their financial presence in the US." The deportees will generally retain ownership of their assets, including bank accounts, investment accounts, physical property (i.e., real estate), and business interests. The same holds for any outstanding loans or other financial obligations. These debts will not be erased even if the individual is deported. Creditors retain the right to pursue collection efforts against deported individuals.
