As CBI has taken charge over the death case of religious guru Narendra Giri who was found dead at his ashram in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh on Monday.
It is alleged that the seer attempted suicide.
A six-member team of CBI officers are headed towards the city to investigate the death of the most prominent Hindu leaders of Uttar Pradesh.
Mahant Narendra Giri was the head of the top religious body Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, whose sudden alleged suicide and a note have created a stir in Uttar Pradesh.
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, pledging to provide justice to the deceased guru, had called for a CBI inquiry into Giri's death.
A significant seer of the northern state had been photographed with many senior leaders of the country, was found dead at his ashram which is 200 km from the capital Lucknow, on Monday afternoon.

Before taking the step, Narendra Giri had blamed his disciple Anand Giri in a 13-page long suicide note. In the note, Giri also blames - Aadya Tiwari and his son Sandeep Tiwari for his death. He wrote he was under pressure and blackmailed over his "morphed image with a woman".
The police informed that just an hour before his death, the top seer had also recorded a video on his mobile, alleging the similar charges that were written on the note. The video is 4 minutes and 30 seconds.
The leaders named in the suicide note are arrested after Giri's death.
Sources said that in the video Narendra Giri seemed hysterical and with no purpose to live further.
The Prayagraj police on Thursday had handed its report to the government and said all the documents related to the incident including the FIR copy, autopsy report and the list of collected samples etc had been handed to the concerned authorities.
After recommending a CBI probe into the case, the central agency has asked for a progress report from the team that was investigating the case before it takes control of the case.
The accused, Anand Giri, however, has denied the allegation against him and called it a conspiracy "by people who used to extort money from Narendra Giri".
"I have spent my entire life over there and never took any money. Everything was good between me and Guru Ji. Hence I request the government to investigate the matter thoroughly," said Anand Giri.

On Thursday, the Prayagraj police had produced Sandeep Tiwari before the judicial magistrate court. Tiwari is the third accused in Giri’s death case. He is bail plea was rejected by the court and he has been sent for 14 days of judicial custody.
While other accused in the case - Swami Anand Giri and Bade Hanuman Temple’s former priest and Sandeep’s father Aadya Tiwari were produced before the court on Wednesday.
