CBSE to announce Class 12th result today at 2pm, Board shares DDLJ meme

On Friday, the Central Board of Secondary Education announced that the result of CBSE class 12th would be declared at 2 pm today.

The wait is finally over! The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) would announce the result of class 12th board exams on July 30 at 2 pm. Students would be able to check their results through the official website of CBSE – cbseresult.nic.in. The results would be also hosted by the Digilocker application and students may also visit the official website of Digilocker – digilocker.gov.in to check their results.

The news was shared by the CBSE Board through Twitter. CBSE Board posted a famous DDLJ meme to announce the declaration of the class 12th result. CBSE wrote, “CBSE Class XII Result to be announced today at 2 P.M. #ExcitementLevel 100% #CBSEResults #CBSE.”

The hard copy of the documents would be only provided upon request. Migration certificate, Marks sheet, CBSE Pass Certificate would be available digitally and students may download them through the Digilocker application or website. The students can also download the certificates through the CBSE website by going on “CBSE” under the “Education” section.


Class 12th result: Evaluation criteria 

This year, CBSE would be following the 30:30:40 formula for awarding marks/grades to class 12th students. Class 12th results will be declared on the basis of performance in Class 10 and 11 (30 percent weightage) and 12 (40 percent weightage). 

The students unsatisfied with the marks/grading done through the 30:30:40 criterion can do better or improve their marks by appearing in the physical examination. This examination will be conducted as the Covid situation gets better in the county.

CBSE class 12th result: How to check?

Follow the below-mentioned steps to check your result:

Step 1: Go to the official website of CBSE – cbseresult.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the link which read “Class 12th result”

Step 3: Enter all the required credentials like registration number, date of birth etc.

Step 4: Click on the “Submit” button

Step 5: Your result would appear on the screen. Check it.

Step 6: Download the result and take a printout for future reference. 

The students can also check their results through SMS.

CBSE Exam for Private candidates:

For now, the board has stated that the examination for the private candidates of class 10th and class 12th would be conducted between August 16 and September 15. The board has denied the declaration of results as per the new evaluation scheme as the board does not have any previous data of the private students.

CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said, “The exams will be conducted from August 16 to September 15 and their result will also be declared in minimum possible time to avoid any difficulty to them in admission in higher education.”


Last year passing percentage:

Last year, the passing percentage of class 12th was 88.78 percent. The passing percentage of girls was 92.15, boys was 86.19 percent and transgender students was 66.67 percent.
