CCTV: Shiv Sena leader attacked by people dressed as Nihangs in Ludhiana, hospitalised

The Shiv Sena leader, Sandeep Thapar, was accompanied by his gunman who made no attempts to protect him. He has been admitted to Civil hospital in critical condition.

Shiv Sena Taksali leader, Sandeep Thapar alias Gora was attacked with sharp weapons by attackers dressed in Nihang attire in Ludhiana, Punjab. Following the attack, he was admitted to the civil hospital in a critical state. The incident has incited a lot of anger among Hindu leaders. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, which shows that he was accompanied by a gunman who made no attempts to protect Sandeep.

Talking to the media, Sandeep informed that 4 persons dressed as nihangs have attacked him with sharp weapons. He says that the attackers were shouting to cut off his head. The victim has made serious allegations against the Police Commissioner. He alleges that the police commissioner himself had sent the attackers and has been after his life for the last 3 months. 

On Friday morning, Sandeep Thapar Gora along with his gunman came to the death anniversary ceremony of Ravinder Arora, president of Samvedna Trust, which runs at the Civil Hospital. According to the CCTV footage, Sandeep was accompanied by his gunman who did not protect the Shiv Sena leader. The gunman alleges that the attackers in Nihang attire tried to snatch the revolver from him. The police reached the spot as soon as the information of the incident was received and launched an investigation.

On receiving the information about the incident, Hindu leaders reached the civil hospital and raised slogans against the administration. The police say the victim’s statement has been recorded and that further action is being taken.
