Delhi: 5th Floor Of Government Building catches fire, 25 fire engines rushed

The blaze started on the fifth floor of the Pandit Deendayal Antyodaya Bhawan

On Wednesday morning in Central Delhi, a fire broke out in a building consisting of many important governmnet offices. Reportedly, a security officer has been injured and has been rushed to the hospital.

It was around 8:30 am that the fire department was alerted, after which, 25 fire engines were sent to the location near the busy Lodhi Road. The blaze which started on the fifth floor of the Pandit Deendayal Antyodaya Bhawan, has been brought under control.

Many government offices, including a branch of the Indian Air Force, Water and Sanitation Ministry, the Forest Ministry and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), are accomodated in the Antyodaya Bhawan. Till 2016, the building was known as Paryavaran Bhawan.
