Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday paid a surprise visit in the local Tehsil complex and inspected the deliverance of the citizen centric services to the people.

The Chief Minister visited the office of Tehsildar and witnessed the process of ongoing registries in the office. He also had detailed interaction with the people who lauded the Chief Minister and his government for ensuring delivery of foolproof services to them. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the feedback of people is of immense importance for efficient working of the state government and this mechanism will be promoted by all means.

The Chief Minister said that Sarkar Tuhade Dwaar is a flagship program of the state government which is aimed at delivering doorstep services to the people. He said that as a part of this campaign only he had inspected government offices in the complex and assessed the situation at the grass root level. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that people had apprised him about the functioning of the offices due to which he had taken this exercise for the well being of people adding that now most of the officers sit in their offices during the working hours.

The Chief Minister said that this is not aimed at any sort of fault finding of officers but the motive is to further streamline the things in the government offices. He said that people of the state had seen this for the first time that a Chief Minister of state is visiting the government offices. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the aim is just to ensure the well being of the people of state by ensuring citizen centric services to them by all means.

The Chief Minister said that all the government officers must perform their duties honestly and meticulously to ensure that people do not face any sort of inconvenience during their visit to the government offices. He said that the state government is committed for ensuring hassle free services to the people which is the need of the hour in this hi-tech era. Bhagwant Singh Mann unequivocally said that he can visit any government office, school or hospital at any point of time adding that any sort of dereliction in duty is unacceptable.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is according top priority is to resolve people's day-to-day office work promptly, ensuring hassle-free services. To achieve this, Bhagwant Singh Mann said that CM Window/ Help centre is being established at the district level, where administrative officials will help to resolve issues of the general public. He further said that district-level issues will be resolved on the spot, while others will be forwarded to concerned departments for necessary action at the headquarters.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has adopted a zero tolerance policy against corruption and no stone is being left unturned to weed out this menace. He said that the state government is committed to providing clean, effective and corruption free administration to the people of the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that for the first time in the state after independence a crusade has been launched against corruption.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is on verge of completing the necessary formalities for doing away with the clause of No Objection Certificate (NOC) for registration of land and property. He said that the sole aim of this decision is to facilitate the general public as the illegal colonizers dupe the people by showing them green pastures and sell their unapproved colonies to them. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the hapless people have to then run pillar to post for getting the basic civic amenities in these colonies adding that the state government will safeguard the interests of the common man.
