Malvidner Singh Mali, today stepped down from his post of advisor to Punjab PCC chief just hours after senior Congress leader Harish Rawat advised Navjot Sidhu of his removal. However, while he quit, Mali made another statement attacking CM Amarinder Singh. Citing the threat to life, Malvinder said if anything happens to him Capt Amarinder should be held responsible.
Announcing his decision to quit, Mali said, “Punjab, Punjabi community cooperation, and anti-Sikh forces, that do not tolerate, the emerging Punjab Model, issue-based and solution-based politics of transparency and accountability, that has dawned in the backdrop of the long-drawn peaceful Kisan Andolan, have a nefarious design to derail the dialogue that has started taking shape and to push me to jump into the struggle with tied hands, which is not acceptable to me and rejecting the same I humbly submit that I withdraw my consent given for tendering suggestions to Navjot Singh Sidhu.”
In addition, Mali has stated that he has been fighting for the Punjab, religious minorities, the oppressed and human rights for a long time, and he would continue to do so. According to him, Punjab's party leadership lacks intellect and is unable to embrace any big changes that will benefit Punjab and the country as a whole.
Mali said, his unwavering fight against politics based on plundering narrow personal interests would continue in collaboration with like-minded forces.

“Captain Amrinder Singh, Vijey Inder Singla, Munish Tiwari, Sukhbir Badal, Bikram Majithia, BJP Secretary Subhash Sharma, and AAP Leaders Raghav Chadda and Jarnail Singh will be held responsible for the vicious campaign launched against my ideas by political leaders”, he concluded.
Mali, earlier this month had sparked several controversies by commenting on national sensitive issues like Kashmir and Pakistan. He also shared a ‘controversial’ sketch of Indira Gandhi and launched personal attacks against Capt Amrinder which caused resentment in the party.
