Colors TV issues public apology after Shiv Sena, MNS threatens the channel on Jaan Kumar Sanu's 'anti-Marathi' remark

The 14th season of Big Boss has been not doing great in terms of TRP and now another controversy has jolted the reality show. After gaining attention on Rahul Vaidya's nepotism remark, Jaan Kumar Sanu is yet again in limelight. 

Going by the reports, Rahul Vaidya and Niki Tamboli were talking to each other in Marathi while Jaan comes and told them to stop speaking Marathi as he gets irritated by listening to such language. 

He said, "Marathi mei mat baat kar, mere saamne mat baat kar, meko chid hoti hai. Sunaauga teko, mere saamne Marathi mei mat baat kar. Dum hai toh Hindi mei bol warna mat baat kar, chid machti hai meko."

On this, Pratap Sarnaik of Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Amey Khopkar have threatened against the channel with dire consequences if Jaan doesn't apologize.

Sarnaik criticized the remarks and said that insulting the Marathi language will not be tolerated. He has reportedly reached out to the channel’s representatives and Salman Khan’s PRO as well.

On the other hand, Khopkar said that if Jaan doesn’t apologize within 24 hours they will halt the shooting at Goregaon. He concluded by stating that he will see to how Jaan gets work in Mumbai given the remarks.

Now, Colors TV has issued a public apology for its Marathi viewers. The channel said, "We at Colors apologize for the remarks in relation to the Marathi language made on the Big Boss episode aired on Tuesday, 27th October. We had no intentions of hurting sentiments of the people of Maharashtra."
