Congress announce 21 more names from Maharashtra and UP

The announced candidates include 5 from Maharashtra and 16 from Uttar Pradesh

With the political arena of politics heating up, the Indian National Congress has announced 21 more names of the candidates contesting from Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. The major seats like Moradabad, Kanpur and Mumbai North-Central have been fielded with senior leaders Raj Babbar, Sriprakash Jaiswal, who is also a former Union Minister and Priya Dutt respectively. Priya Dutt is sister of Sanjay Dutt and daughter of late actor-politician Sunil Dutt who made her politcial debut in 2005.

The announced candidates include 5 from Maharashtra and 16 from Uttar Pradesh.

The announced candidates from Maharashtra are Nana Patole from Nagpur, Dr. Namdev Dalluji Usendi from Gadchiroli-Chimur, Milind Murli Deora from Mumbai South and Shashi Kumar Shinde from Solapur.

From Uttar Pradesh, Omwati Devi Jatav from Nagina, Zafar Ali Naqvi from Kheri, Kaisar Jahan from Sitapur, Manjari Rahi from Misrikh, Ramshankar Bhargava from Mohanlal Ganj, Dr. Sanjay Singh from Sultanpur, Ratna SIngh from Pratapgarh, Rakesh Sachan from Fatehpur, Savitri Phule from Bahraich, Parvez Khan from Sant Kabir Nagar, Kush Saurabh Bansgaon, Pankaj Mohan Sonkar from Lalganj, Lalitesh Pati Tripathi Mirzapur, Bhagwati Prasad Choudhary from Robertsganj.

With SP-BSP forming an alliance, Congress is contesting from all 80 seats with Priyanka Gandhi and Jyoti Scindia leading the party in the all important Uttar Pradesh.
