Seeing the rapid developments in the drug angle that emerged in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, it was expected the controversy will echo in the parliament of India. Now, Congress has a put a stamp on it after spokesperson Sachin Sawant informed the nation via his twitter account that the party will be raising Sushant's death issue.

Going by the tweets of Sawant, he alleged that the case of Sushant Singh Rajput has been cast aside and the Modi government is trying to control and arm-twist the Bollywood industry.

Sawant took to twitter and said, "Tomorrow onwards our questions to the national agencies working on #SushantSingRajputDeathCase start."

"Case of SSR death has now been cast aside. New narrative is abt some alleged Bollywood drug nexus. Drug nexus is the pretext but real reason is also to control & arm-twist the film industry. Narrative keeps vacillating from Nepotism, Murder, drug racket to bollywood drug nexus," Sawant added.

He also wrote, "Let NCB headed by Modi Ji's blue eyed boy answer first 1. Although we hv no objection over NCB probing bollywood drug angle, NCB has office in Mumbai, why didn't they probe it earlier? 2. There’s has bn no arrest made by the NCB in FIR 15/2020  which is abt SSR death case."

"All arrests made are in FIR 16/2020 which is abt alleged drug consumption & has NOTHING to do with SSR case. Let NCB clarify & educate us as to why it abandoned SSR case & also abt Govt saying NCB has no actionable inputs revealing drugs & film industry nexus."

Interestingly, Congress took it seriously after many Bollywood A-listers came under the lens of radar. Some names which are under the lens of NCB are Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Dia Mirza, Simone Khambatta, and Shraddha Kapoor.
