A police complaint has been filed against Kareena Kapoor Khan over her book, Kareena Kapoor Khan's Pregnancy Bible, in Maharashtra's Beed. The actress recently launched her book.

An official stated that a Christian group objected to the title of a book authored by actress Kareena Kapoor and filed a police complaint against her and two others in Beed, Maharashtra, on Wednesday, accusing them of hurting religious emotions in the community.

The book, which has a second author, was the subject of a complaint filed by Alpha Omega Christian Mahasangh president Ashish Shinde at the Shivaji Nagar Police Station in Beed.

Shinde has mentioned the title of the book, Pregnancy Bible, written by Kareena Kapoor and Aditi Shah Bhimjani and published by Juggernaut Books, in his lawsuit.

According to him, the usage of the sacred term 'Bible' in the title of the book has offended Christian religious emotions.

Shinde has filed a complaint against the actress and the two others under IPC section 295-A (deliberate and malicious conduct intended to offend the sentiments of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs).

The complaint was received, but no FIR was filed, according to a police official.

Inspector Sainath Thombre, the in-charge of the Shivaji Nagar Police Station, told PTI, "We received the complaint, but we are unable to file a case because the crime did not occur here (in Beed). I urged him to make a police report in Mumbai.”

Kareena's book was released on July 9th. The 40-year-old actress, who gave birth to her second kid, a boy, in February this year, referred to the book as her third child in a series of social media posts.

The book, according to the actress, is a detailed account of her physical and mental experiences during both pregnancies.
