Former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Atishi reacted to Mahila Samridhi Yojana. Addressing a press conference, Atishi said, "PM Modi in one of his rally promised that on 8th March Rs 2500 will be deposited into the account of the women... Today was the day, and the women of Delhi were waiting. But, today, the BJP-led Delhi govt has proven that it wasn't PM Mod's guarantee but 'jumla'. Leave alone giving the money; the women didn't even get a scheme or portal for registration... They got a 4-member committee.."

AAP leader Gopal Rai while talking to a newswire said, "...The women were waiting for this day as the BJP leaders had promised that on March 8, the money would be deposited in their accounts. However, the BJP government has given a committee instead of the money. It shows that BJP leaders were lying when they made the promise... I was listening to JP Nadda - that they have passed Rs 51000 crore for the scheme - he cannot do that; even the Delhi cabinet cannot do that. It can be passed only in the House during the budget presentation..."
