Despite UNSC refusal, Pak seeks UNSC session over Kashmir issue

Islamabad: Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has written a letter to the UNSC president, seeking an urgent session on the Kashmir issue in wake of New Delhi's decision to revoke Article 370 that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir. 

According to the geo news outlet, Mr. Qureshi termed the Indian act unconstitutional and against the conventions of the United Nations, should be discussed in a session.

"We are willing to go to any lengths for our defense," the foreign minister mentioned.

The letter by the minister comes at a time when the United Nations Security Council president has already called for ''bilateral resolution'' of the issue.
