Devara gets censor certificate: What are the four scenes removed from Jr NTR's film ?

Jr NTR starrer Devara Part 1 has finally passed the censor test but the censor board has made 4 major changes in the movie. The film will get released on 27th September.

Devara Part 1, an upcoming action drama movie has finally got the U/A certificate from the censor board but the board has made 4 major changes in the movie. Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Devara is an Indian Telugu language movie. The movie is directed by Koratala Siva. The movie stars Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko and Narain. The film is produced by Yuvasudha Arts and N. T. R. Arts. 

Initially, the movie was scheduled to release on 5th April but due to post-production and VFX works, the release date of the movie got rescheduled. The movie will now release on 27th September.

Recently, Devara movie makers have announced that the movie has passed the censor test. The makers stated, “Sparking a tidal wave of excitement, man of masses NTR Jr's Devara: Part 1 (Telugu) has been given the green light to cast off, securing a U/A certificate from the censor board.”

The censor board asked the makers of the film to make 4 changes in the film. The first scene that the censor board asked to remove featured a character brutally kicking his wife in the stomach. The second scene that was removed included a character kicking his mother. 

The third shot that got removed was of five seconds. The shot featured a character hanging from a sword and then sliding down through it. These three shots related to violence were removed. The fourth change in the movie was a technical change. In the scene, Jr. NTR was seen riding a shark. The censor board has asked the makers to put a disclaimer stating that the sharks are generated through CGI and are not real as harming animals while filming is against the law in India. After these 4 modifications, the film passed the censor test and got the U/A certificate. 

Devara has become the fastest Indian film to sell 35,000 tickets in North America and 30,000 in the US. In the film, Jr NTR will be seen in a double role. The film also marks Janhvi Kapoor’s and Saif Ali Khan’s Telugu movie debut.
