The quick commerce platforms like Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart and BigBasket has introduced a new service where the customers can buy gold and silver for their Dhanteras shopping within just 10 minutes.
Dhanteras is the Hindu festival that marks the beginning of Diwali. This year, Diwali 2024 will be celebrated for 5 days. It will begin with Dhanteras and will come to an end with the celebration of Bhai Dooj. This five-day festival will begin on with Dhanteras and conclude on 3rd November with Bhai Dooj.
Buying gold or silver jewelleries is believed auspicious on this day. People often buy items made of brass, silver, and gold on this day as it is believed that buying them will bring good fortune, success, and protection from the evil eye. According to scriptures, this act is believed to bring prosperity into homes of the buyers.
