AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal on Sunday sought Delhi Police's help after she received death and rape threats on social media. Swati Maliwal accused AAP and YouTuber Dhruv Rathee of making a 'one-sided' video against her in the Bibhav Kumar Case. Maliwal also shared multiple chats in which random social media users were abusing her & even issuing threats. Swati Maliwal in her tweet also outlined that 'This got further exacerbated when YouTuber @Dhruv_Rathee posted a one-sided video against me. As far as the party leadership goes, it is very clear that they are trying to intimidate me into withdrawing my complaint. However, for Dhruv, I tried my best to reach out to him to tell him my version but he ignored my calls and messages. It is shameful that people like him, who claim to be independent journalists could act like other AAP spokespersons."
As a result, True Scoop News tried to verify the facts and watched Druv Rathee's Swati Maliwal video. In his video, Dhruv Rathee outlined that although Maliwal in her FIR made serious allegations against Arvind Kejriwal's PA, she was seen sitting comfortably on a couch and abusing Bibhav by herself. Thereafter, Dhruv highlighted that Swati Maliwal was seen limping when she was with Delhi Police, however, another CCTV from the day of the incident showcased the AAP Rajya Sabha MP walking comfortably.
Rathee then outlined Aatishi's comment saying that Maliwal is working on the behest of the BJP who are trying to frame Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. The Youtuber then outlined Bibhav Kumar's FIR in which he said that Swati did not have an appointment to meet Delhi CM Kejriwal but she forcefully entered his residential building.
What did Dhruv Rathee hide in his video?
Interestingly, Dhruv Rathee did not mention the fact that a day before Maliwal approached Delhi Police, AAP senior leader Sanjay Singh addressed a press conference and accepted that the AAP Rajya Sabha MP was manhandled at Kejriwal's house. Not only this, but Singh had also stated that Delhi CM had taken the matter into his cognizance and he would punish the guilty after an internal inquiry. Also, YouTuber Rathee did not mention any comments by the BJP leaders but he presented AAP's stand and highlighted their accusations against the Saffron party.
