There’s even better news, I will not sing a song based on alcohol today as well. Because Gujrat is a dry state."

Following this, he called for a dry movement. He said, “Let’s start a movement, if these many people come together than we can start a movement. If all of the states declare themselves as dry states, the very next day, I will stop singing songs based on alcohol.”

“During Covid, everything was closed except liquor shops, you cannot fool the youth. I have a better offer. Declare dry day for just a day in whichever city I perform, then I will not sing songs about alcohol,” Diljit added.

He talked about tweaking the song and said, “It’s very easy for me to tweak the song. I’m not a new artist, I will tweak the song; the lyrics will change but the vibe will remain the same."

“If Gujrat is a dry state then I’m the fan of the Gujrat government, I openly support the Gujrat government. Come let’s start this movement, I will stop singing songs on alcohol. Close all the liquor shops in the country. It’s very easy for me, I hardly have 4 to 5 songs based on alcohol. I will not sing them or else I will tweak them,” singer further added.
