'India's most fashionable man'; Vogue Paris has honored Punjabi singer & actor Diljit Dosanjh with this title. Diljit Dosanjh's fashion quotient & outfits have always been a center of attraction among not only his fans but also many Bollywood actors. Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khuranna even lavished his praise on Diljit Dosanjh's outfit during one of the episodes of Koffee with Karan. As per the magazine, Diljit Dosanjh styles by himself and has not hired any particular stylist. However, for his ongoing Dil-Luminati tour across the US and Canada, Dosanjh got in touch with the nation’s bandhgala maestro Raghavendra Rathore to produce a capsule of stage ensembles. Talking about Diljit Dosanjh's outfit, his cardigan-style shirt recently caught the attention of his fans.
Diljit Dosanjh recently appeared on a YouTube channel for an interview along with Neeru Bajwa. During the interview, Diljit was asked about his outfit which looked like a sweater but was a shirt in reality. Responding to this, Diljit said, "This is my favourite brand, Bode. They are made in India but they sell in America. I bought this from America. This is made in India so I am supporting India but they make this kind of dress very less here. What do we call it crochet?"
True Scoop News tried to dig more about Bode and it found out that Diljit Dosanjh's claims of Made in India are true. As per reports, Bode has worked with factories in India to reproduce fabrics based on antique materials and patterns. Thus the connection to historical textiles the brand was founded on remains. "As we scale, it’s about telling the historical significance of what inspires the brand. Even though the embroidery is not necessarily an antique, we explain why reproducing it is inspiring or relevant,” Bode was quoted saying.
Now, coming back to Diljit Dosanjh's Bode crochet shirt, it is available on Bode's official website. Diljit Dosanjh's Bode crochet shirt cost $950 US. Which means in Indian Rupees it costs approximately Rs 80,000. The official website describes the shirt saying, "This crochet shirt is inspired by a vintage lap blanket from the 1940s-1950s. The pattern—pink roses with green leaf trim—has been faithfully reproduced via hand-crochet."
