Quake of 5.6 richter jolts Himachal, J&K

Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir were shook by a moderate intensity earthquake of magnitude 5.6 richter on Tuesday night at 10:17 pm. The quake caused panic among the residents making them run out of houses.

The epicentre of the earthquake is said to be at a depth of 80 kms in North-Western Kashmir which is located 118 kms from Srinagar.

Himachal's Chamba and Mandi were also shook by two low intensity earthquakes earlier in the evening.

No casualties have been reported as of now.
