The diplomatic pressure on Pakistan is mounting gravely as two more permanent members of United Nations Security Council (UNSC) have joined France in the proposal to ban Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar.
France, India's trusted partner has been now backed by the US and UK in the proposal to blacklist Masood Azhar.
Moreover, France is all set to get the monthly Presidency of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on March 1.
This proposal has been presented in the UNSC but every time it got scuttled and stalled by China using a veto against the moved proposal.
However, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has spoken about the need of the 'eradication of the breeding grounds' of extremism and terrorism in the presence of Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj after the RIC meeting in the Wuzhen City of China.
The Chinese Foreign Minister mentioning 'breeding grounds' of terrorism is being seen as a major move to endorse India's stance against Pakistan on the backdrop of Pulwama Terror Attack.
Reports suggest that the proposal moved in the UNSC would include an arms embargo, asset freeze and a global travel ban.
