The conflict between India and Pakistan has been de-escalated, but the misinformation and fake news regarding the same is still circulating on social media. Recently, Pakistan PM Shabaz Sharif was seen with Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir and was handing over a war painting to the Army Chief Field Marshal. 

But here the question is, is this painting real, or is the Pakistan PM given a fake image?

Fact check - 

According to recent reports, Pakistan launched a mission named “Banyan-un-Masoos” as a reply to India’s Operation Sindoor. Notably, this painting represented this painting, calling it the success of this mission. 

Pak PM presented this painting during a dinner party on May 24, 2025, and now this image has gone viral on social media. 

It is worth mentioning that following the ceasefire, Pakistan has continued to spread misinformation and fake news on social media. 

The truth - 

Following the investigation, it was revealed that the real photo of the painting was from China’s defense website - which has been present there since 2019. 

However, it is concluded that the painting presented by PM Pak was fake, and expectedly, the motive behind this could be to spread misinformation or fake propaganda.
