With a few days to go for the voting of Phase 7, the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 campaign is at its peak in multiple states. BJP senior leaders are making their last attempt to woo voters in Punjab and extend its power in the border state. After PM Modi and Rajnath Singh's visit to Punjab, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday will be visiting Ludhiana for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 campaign. However, ahead of Amit Shah's Ludhiana visit, farmers have started protests in the region and have also chanted 'Amit Shah Go Back'.

As per reports, after farmers came to know about Amit Shah's visit to Jagraon to campaign and rally in favour of BJP candidate Ravneet Singh Bittu from Ludhiana, they marched towards Ludhiana. As a result, the Police sealed the Chowkiman toll plaza between Jagraon and Ludhiana, converting it into a cantonment. During this period the farmers were stopped. Angered by this, the farmers vented their anger against the BJP and kept raising slogans of Amit Shah, go back, go back.

The farmers wanted to go towards Ludhiana. The police did not allow the farmers to go ahead. As per the information received, around 200 farmers, led by BKU Union leader Manjeet Dhaner, turned towards Ludhiana to protest against Amit Shah and other BJP leaders.

It is pertinent to mention here that similar kinds of scenes were witnessed when PM Modi visited multiple cities of Punjab. PM Modi recently concluded his Lok Sabha Elections 2024 campaign in Jalandhar, Patiala, and Gurdaspur. During that, farmers chanted against PM Modi as well.

Before Shah, India's Defense Minister & veteran BJP leader Rajnath Singh addressed a rally at Khanna in Fatehgarh Sahib. Singh slammed the AAP government and also highlight Arvind Kejriwal's arrest during the public meeting.
