In a major political development, a 49-page FIR has been registered against Akali leader and former minister Bikram Majithia. As per the FIR, The main charge is that he assisted in drug smuggling by using his property and vehicles, as well as financing the distribution and sale of drugs.
There are also claims that NRIs used to live in Majithia's Amritsar home. Not just that but drug smugglers also stayed in his Sector-39 government house in Chandigarh.
This case, however, was registered on the statement of the accused arrested for narcotics smuggling.
