A six-foot-long venomous snake was found inside a residential quarter on KMV College Road in Jalandhar, Punjab, causing concern among local residents, especially the children of a migrant family living there. The alarming discovery led to a prompt response from the forest department, which deployed a team to the scene within two hours.
Forest department officials, headed by Officer Jaswant Singh and Forest Guard Pradeep, undertook a challenging operation to safely capture and relocate the snake. Videos from the scene documented the intense efforts of the forest guards as they carefully secured the snake, ensuring the safety of those in the vicinity.
The venomous snake was successfully contained and placed in a secure box by the forest team before being relocated to a safer habitat in the nearby forest area. This proactive action averted a potential threat, preventing the risk of a snakebite that could have had serious consequences.
Reports indicate that the residential area is home to migrant families, and the incident occurred in a room where children were present at the time of the sighting.
