A hand grenade was hurled at the house of veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Manoranjan Kalia in Punjab's Jalandhar on Tuesday (April 8, 2025).
Punjab Police solved the grenade attack case at Manoranjan Kalia's house in Jalandhar within 12 hours on Tuesday.
Before that, CCTV footage of the attack was made public in which the two attackers, one riding an e-rickshaw and the other throwing a bomb, were visible. The grenade thrown by the attacker fell directly in the vicinity of the entrance area where a car and bike were parked. The moment the grenade fell, within no time, it exploded.
New CCTV footage has come out in connection with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Manoranjan Kalia's attack case.
The CCTV camera records the accused undressing at Damoria Bridge in Jalandhar. The video is claimed to have been shot soon after Kalia's house was attacked. The government feels that the attack was preplanned. With the investigation gathering steam, police efforts have been heightened, and security tightened around the area, leaving the residents on edge.
