Jalandhar Gas Leak: In a major development, panic gripped the area after a type of gas started to leak in an ice factory in Jalandhar. Jalandhar Gas Leak incident came to the fore in an ice factory near Domoria Bridge. In response, the police have closed the road from both sides and all the traffic is being sent over the Domoria bridge.
On receiving the information about the incident, the police of Thana-3 and the fire brigade team reached the spot. At present, the police have sealed the area. No one will be allowed to go on the said road. Police will open the route only after the effect of gas leak ends.
As per the information received, the ice factory is built along with the building of MBD Books, which comes under Thana 3. During the gas leak, people passing near Domoria bridge are facing difficulty in breathing. However, it has not been confirmed which gas has leaked from the factory. Local people stated that due to the gas leak, they are having irritation in their eyes, and people located at a distance of more than a kilometer are having difficulty in breathing. Many people are still trapped inside the factory.
