A one-day paid leave policy for female employees has been introduced by engineering and construction giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T). According to management, this step has been taken to make sure that female employees work comfortably, even during tough days. This will also help in promoting workplace inclusivity, as per the company.
Details about the policy:
This new policy will benefit approximately 5,000 women employees of L&T, which is 9 percent of the total employee force of the company.
This step by L&T will position the company among a selected group of companies and corporations that have been offering paid menstrual health leave to women working in their workplaces.
It is noteworthy that this announcement coincides with the occasion of International Women’s Day, which is celebrated on March 8, 2025. This move is surely a reflection of the growth of policies that are supportive of women.
