A new variant of Coronavirus seems to be hovering over the world all over again and new cases of BF.7 variant are surging up. The increasing number of COVID cases once again has become worrisome for all countries. As a precautionary measure, the central government has carried out various meetings to form a strategy for how to save the country from this new COVID outbreak. The government has now released certain guidelines that need to be kept in mind if you are coming to India from abroad.
As per the latest guidelines released, those preparing to come to India from overseas must be vaccinated and if not, it is advised that they should be part of the vaccination process in India. The social distancing norms have to be followed and wearing of masks has again become compulsory. If any passenger shows symptoms of COVID then he/she should go through the full isolation period until they recover fully.
Proper thermal screening of passengers will take place after landing at the airport. As per the guidelines random testing will also take place for the passengers coming to India. If any passenger's sample is found positive after testing, then it should be sent to INSACOG lab for genome sequencing as soon as possible.
