Vande Bharat Express will now be extended to Himachal Pradesh. Rajya Sabha MP Indu Goswami has announced that Kangra will be having rail connectivity via one of the most efficient Indian Railway trains - Vande Bharat Express.
Highlighting the government’s efforts towards improvements in rail, road, and air connectivity, MP Indu Goswami mentioned that traveling to Kangra will become more comfortable for visitors with the help of this new development.
Along with this, she also outlined that Kangra will witness another infrastructure milestone, the completion of the Chakki Bridge, which connects Pathankot with Joginder Nagar via rail. According to certain reports, the bridge will be completed and fully operational for travel soon.
Notably, it is not the first Vande Bharat train service in Himachal Pradesh; however, this development will surely extend the railway connections across the state. MP Indu Goswami has also assured that this rail service will be launched soon.
According to certain reports, the central government has been working diligently to develop the state's road and rail networks. It is noteworthy that the government has been developing the state despite the tough terrain.
