Investigation into the firing at Salman Khan's house is intensifying ever since the Mumbai Police Crime Branch arrested the two shooters involved in the attack on the Bollywood actor's apartment. Mumbai Police Crime Branch on Tuesday arrested the two shooters who fired at Salman Khan's house in Bandra. On Sunday, two bike-borne shooters fired at Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment sending shockwaves in entire India. Notably, another suspect has been arrested who is said to be involved in the Salman Khan firing case.
As per reports, the suspect was arrested in Haryana on Wednesday night. Multiple reports quoted Police sources saying that this individual served as a liaison between the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and the shooters - Vicky Gupta, 24, and Sagar Kumar Palak, 21 - who are in police custody.
Sagar Kumar Palak, one of the two suspects, was allegedly provided with a gun just hours before the incident. However, the identity of the person supplying the weapon remains unknown. Both the accused are from West Champaran in Bihar and were arrested by Mumbai Police from the premises of a temple in Gujarat's Kutch district late Monday night.
A Mumbai Crime Branch official was quoted by a newswire informing how much the shooters charged to fire at Salman Khan's Galaxy apartment.
The Mumbai Crime Branch Official said that Vicky and Sagar were allegedly offered Rs 4 lakh to carry out the shooting. Not only this, Rs 1 Lakh were paid in advance to the shooters. The intended objective, as stated by Mumbai Crime Branch officials, was not to murder Salman Khan but to scare him.
"The accused conducted a 'recce' of Salman Khan's farmhouse in Panvel. They intended to just scare him, not murder him. The statements of both families have been recorded in Bihar. Around 7 people have been called from Haryana and other states for questioning, which is ongoing," said the Mumbai Police official.
It is pertinent to mention here that Mumbai Police has initiated proceedings to issue a Lookout Circular (LOC) against Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of Lawrence Bishnoi. Anmol maintained communication with the suspects through various calling and messaging applications, including Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Additionally, he provided directives to the man detained from Haryana.
Notably, on Wednesday, Joginder Shah, the father of Sagar Pal, was quoted by multiple portals saying that his son was living in Jalandhar and was working there as a daily wager. "I was really shocked to learn about his involvement through social media... We don't know how it happened. He was never involved in any crime earlier. He was a simple person... he was working in Jalandhar (Punjab), I don't know how he reached Mumbai."
