How much did Alia Bhatt take to get ready for Met Gala 2024?

Alia Bhatt said,  "I think we have been in touch on Instagram for a while and you very kindly said that if you are in town I had love to meet. I thought let me try to work it out because I was literally in town for 2 days. But, I also realised one thing at that moment is that I have become very comfortable with just like going about moments, special events or shoots without really having much conversation with people who I don't know.

Essentially, we really don't know each other. I have become comfortable just by talking to people that I am comfortable with and that I know, my team, my family, my friends, my loved ones. So, I took it like 'oh it will be fun!'. A new experience. I was not at mommy duty at that time. I was missing her a lot all the time. I had the time. I thought it would be fun to have breakfast with somebody and just get to know them a little bit.

Apart from the fact that both of us are somehow in the media industry, talking to people and getting to know each other of something that just humans do. Even though it's a bit stressful right now, I have to get into hair and makeup right now for the next 4 hours. I will still go ahead and do this because it will be a new experience."

Interestingly, the average of a Bollywood or Hindi movie is 3 hours.

After Alia walked the Met Gala Red Carpet, she had mentioned that it took "a total of 1965-man hours" to create the piece. "We embraced a delicate nostalgia for hair and makeup - an elevated coiffure embellished with intricately woven braids and soft freckles - a homage to time's gentle caress. Creating this has been quite an experience... fun and stressful in equal parts. It has taken a collective effort of 163 dedicated individuals, including master craftspeople, embroiderers, artists, and dyers, investing a total of 1965-man hours to create this ethereal saree. As I wear this outfit, I feel incredibly grateful to embody this exquisite creation, a testament to boundless love and painstaking effort," read an excerpt from Alia Bhatt's post.
