IAF students get furious for not releasing Air Force Airmen Group X and Group Y results for 2 years

All over India, students of various streams are protesting for not releasing exam results. From railways to defence and now the air force, the recruitment exams were conducted by the authorities during Corona, but, the results are still awaited.

In 2019, the Indian Air Force had invited online applications from unmarried Indian and Nepalese male for the selection of Airmen in Group-X and Group-Y categories. The exam got delayed due to Corona. In December 2020, an exam was conducted. Later, the Exam Enrollment list was generated but the results were not declared yet.

Meanwhile, Air Force Group X, Y exam invitation was released in January 2021. Due to the second wave of corona, the exam took place in July 2021. The results of both exams are still awaited. According to the rules, results must be declared within one month after the exam took place. Now, its the 14th month and results are still not announced.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, in support of students, wrote on Twitter, “Lakhs of youth do hard work for the recruitment in the army with the dream of serving the country. But these youth are troubled by the Enrollment List and Result of Air Force Recruitment (January 2020) and not joining the Army for years.”

By writing a letter to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Ji, we request him for taking positive steps in this matter without any delay; and to solve the problems of the youth-related to army recruitment soon,” she added.


To protest against this delay in results, Children are gathering at Jantar Mantar, Delhi on April 5. A user shared the information on Twitter.
