India ready to take on Australia in the first T20 at Vizag

Skipper Virat Kohli and Numero Uno Jasprit Bumrah return to squad and Vijay Shankar gets another chance with Hardik Pandya injured

The Indian cricket team after touring Australia are set to host them in the first T20I to be played in Vizag. The Indian skipper returns to the squad along with the number 1 bowler in the World Jasprit Bumrah to provide balance to the Indian side after a 2-1 defeat in T20I series against New Zealand. However, Kuldeep Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been rested for the series.

Another player who is almost set to feature in the eleven is Vijay Shankar because of Hardik Pandya getting injured and not playing the remainder of the series.

On the other hand, the Australian skipper Aaron Finch said that the slots for the opener in the Australian XI are up for grabs showing the uncertainty in the Australian line-up. Senior batsman Shaun Marsh has also not travelled with the team to stay back with his family at the time of birth of his child.

The Indian skipper Virat Kohli addressed a press conference yesterday and spoke to the media about various things. He paid his condolences to the families of the martyred CRPF jawans and condemned the horrific Pulwama attack.

When asked about his opinions on playing Pakistan in the upcoming World Cup, he said that the Indian Cricket team would stand by what nation decides and what BCCI decides.
