India-China Dispute: IT Ministry bans 118 Chinese apps including PUBG

In a major move to retaliate against China for creating a commotion at the Line of Actual Control (LAC), Information and Technology Ministry has now banned 118 more mobile applications. The list of banned applications includes the famous mobile gaming app "PUBG", WeChat, Livik, etc. 

According to the statement of the Government of India, "118 mobile apps which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, the security of state and public order."

Notably, this is the third digital airstrike by India. Earlier, in July, the government banned more than 100 Chinese applications to protect the public interest.
